Back before the PS5 released, one of the games featured in its major pre-launch showcase was Capcom's Pragmata. Roughly three years later, we've still yet to see anything meaningful about the game. Well, during the publisher's showcase today, it looked like we were finally getting an update, and, erm, we sort of did.
In a new video, embedded above, we see some precious snippets of gameplay from the enigmatic PS5 game, but the main message is that it's not coming any time soon. Acknowledging the lengthy development, a message at the end of the trailer confirms an indefinite delay.
There's no hint at when it may be ready, so we wouldn't expect to see Pragmata again for at least a year, likely longer. It's a shame, as the mysterious sci-fi title looked really interesting back in 2020, and we're still curious to learn more. Hopefully, Capcom puts this extra time to good use, and we get to check it out... eventually.
Are you still holding out hope for Pragmata? Tell us in the comments section below.

This is disappointing. I'm glad we got to see a few snippets though.
I've been intrigued with this game ever since its debut all those years ago.
Worst showcase yet lmao. I even forgot this game existed. Had some good laughs though.
Best third party games + worst showcaser = the best publisher
That sucks! At least Dragon's Dogma II looks good, though I don't expect it before late 2024 or early 2025.
What is it with modern movies/games and shiny lights. It's like 'ooh shiny must be important' has replaced having to write an interesting script.
At least there's some form of gameplay instead of nothing at all. Not enough but it's something
With so many awesome games out at the moment and for the rest of the year, I am not too upset to see Pragmata is delayed. At least Capcom are keeping us all in the loop, I know it will definitely be worth the wait for sure!
Capcom has been knocking it out of the park, so trust in them to take the time they need. Also, maybe this is the game that will finally prove they are humans and capable of messing up, and not game-making super-machines from planet Capcomia? (Lots of) time will tell…
The delay sucks but I still think this game looks really awesome and capcom usually deliver great games
I didn't think I'd see the day Ubisoft would do a better showcase than Capgod.
This gen´s deep down calling it.
I wish they would have canceled Exoprimal and moved that team over to help with this.
That was so weird. I had to rewind to reread their indefinite delay announcement at the end. Like why not wait until you're comfortable with a release window until you reveal the game again.
Kind of funny how this game only ever gets updates when they want to say it's been delayed. Some sparse gameplay footage this time at least, but it didn't tell me much at all.
Capcoms new Deep Down
Delayed🙁............Still hyped😊😎
I’ve had this on my watch list and there it shall remain. This definitely looks interesting. Hope the delays are worth it.
Was hoping to see Deep Down.
It is what it is. Probably comes out when PlayStation 6 drops.
Gotta say though that using the in game cinematic to announce it’s getting delayed was so unique and made me laugh. Props for that!
This still looks wonderful. I’m glad Capcom was transparent enough to update us on this one. Hopefully this is a 2024 release date. A year with Pragmata, DS2, and FF7R2 would be a release docket tailor made for my tastes and I love it.
Take all the time you need Capcom. I am very interested with Pragmata and would like to play it at its full potential
That's a weaker update than silk song news.
Welp, at least now we have an idea what the game is (and it looks pretty good). Too bad it's not coming anytime soon.
I don't expect people are cheering to hear there's a delay, but I do trust people are reasonable enough to be happy they aren't pushing something out the door that's unfinished. Hope it all works out.
I really wish publishers wouldn't even announce games until they are 3/4 done or ideally in the bug fixing phase of development. I don't care about a game I can't play for another three years. That does nothing for sales, as nobody will remember the announcement.

Same here, 100% agreed! I'll always respect publishers that allow development teams to take their time to deliver a video game in a better functioning state.
I would say fully polished, but we both know it's gonna need a Day 1 patch no matter what, with future patches releasing over time. That's just how modern gaming is now, and I've become used to it lol.
I rather that Capcom took their time with Pragmata as it’s a new IP.
At least they said that they have delayed the game indefinitely to continue working on it.
The game looks incredible so far.
Hope we get to see a new trailer and a gameplay showcase from them this year and possibly a release date or release window.
MH World and DMC5 are both amazing.
DD2 looks incredible and will keep people busy till Pragmata is out
@zgillet
True I’m still annoyed with the hacker turds that managed to hack into Insomnaic games and posted gameplay of Wolverine up which there’s a reason why they haven’t us that gameplay with it being an early build and also spoiled out what they have planned for next few years as well.
They’ve probably just started focusing on Wolverine now Spider man 2.
There’s also the Kotor remake whatever is going on with that
